About The Author and Illustrators
At age 8, Ru Kunkel knew she'd have a restaurant someday and in 1993, she opened the Delta of Venus Coffeehouse and Pub. The popular café is still open today. Many of the book's recipes were first introduced and enjoyed there. Currently, Ru works one-on-one with kids at a community mental health clinic. Part of why Ru wrote AN ALIEN ROBOT'S COOKBOOK was to help kids (like her own) with self-esteem and coping skills. With original sketches by Gabe, Joe, and Ru Kunkel on virtually every page, AN ALIEN ROBOT'S COOKBOOK is truly a family affair, designed to entertain young readers.
