Adelaide is an opera in three acts by Pietro Torri, with a libretto by Antonio Salvi. The opera was first performed in Munich in 1722. Salvi's libretto tells a story of love, betrayal, and political intrigue within a royal court. Torri's score demonstrates the composer's mastery of the late Baroque style, combining dramatic recitatives with expressive arias and ensemble numbers.
This historical edition makes Adelaide accessible to scholars, performers, and anyone interested in the rich tradition of Italian opera.
