Across Time is a novel which converges modern affairs with webs of the past. Theda Bara, silent film's first superstar suffers harm Fox Studios causes in creating a box office idol. Entanglements of William Fox, a foundation of the film industry, and the Broadway star he promotes, Theda Bara, mimic the unhinging of Frieda Bestlier and Pool Clamp whose attempt to marry is fraught with opposition. 1917's shenanigans thread through 1980's lives and visa-versa. Love between Frieda Bestlier and Pool Clamp stands as a thorn in her parents' needs and well-being. Add wealth, bribery, adultery, and blackmail to the novel's mixture, and resolutions become hard pressed.
