Acasă here, Acasă there

A bilingual Romanian-English picture book about two homes, two languages, and the love a child carries between them.

Ana has two homes. One is here. One is there.

One home has rainy windows, red buses, school shoes by the door, and English words all around her. The other has warm sunshine, plum trees, Bunica's hugs, and Romanian words that feel soft and familiar.

Sometimes Ana wonders which place is her real home. Is it the home where she wakes up for school? Or the home where everyone says, Ce mare ai crescut!?

As Ana travels between English and Romanian, here and there, she begins to understand something special: home is not only one place. Home can be carried in your heart.

Acasă Here, Acasă There is a gentle bilingual Romanian-English children's book for ages 3-7, created especially for Romanian families abroad, children of immigrants, and families raising bilingual children.

With short, clear sentences and warm picture-book storytelling, this book is ideal for bedtime reading, shared family reading, language learning, and helping young children talk about belonging, homesickness, grandparents, culture, and identity.

A tender story for Romanian children in the UK and beyond - and for every child learning that they can belong in more than one place.

Includes Romanian words woven naturally through the story, with a simple glossary for young readers and families.
