Meditation is often thought of to be of the hippy nature, new age, or guided imagery philosophy type. Therefore, many Christians avoid meditation in their religious manners, activities, or even talking about it. Sadly, to say, this is to their disadvantage and loss. The Word of God encourages meditation, and of course in a Godly manner and upon Godly topics.
Let us define the word meditate as meaning imagine, think deeply, or focus one's mind for a period, preferably in silence for a spiritual rejuvenation and/or a quiet time for receiving a revelation from the Holy Ghost.
True meditation reveals a person's consciousness and explores the depth of importance in one's mind. Meditating establishes some concrete truths and assurance in peace and satisfaction. This serves as a great time to examine what is true and false. Meditating assists in cleansing the mind, heart, soul, and strength from foul lies, false truths, and misguided philosophies and doctrines. One can find peace with faith in meditation in Jesus Christ the Messiah with solid belief in His Words. One might find freedom from all guilt by confession in meditation to the Lord and experience relief like never before. To meditate in its proper and Godly way can assist experiencing avenues never experienced.
Matthew 6:6. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
And prayerfully may the spirit of your mind be renewed. Ephesians 4:23. And be renewed in the spirit of your mind.
