The Autobiography And Diary Of Mr. James Melvill, With A Continuation Of The Diary V1 (1842) is a book that tells the story of James Melvill's life through his own words. Melvill was a Scottish minister who lived during the 16th and 17th centuries. The book is divided into two parts: Melvill's autobiography and his diary. In the autobiography, Melvill describes his childhood, education, and his journey to becoming a minister. He also talks about his experiences during the religious and political conflicts of his time. The diary portion of the book covers the years 1577 to 1610 and provides a detailed account of Melvill's daily life, including his religious and political activities, as well as his personal thoughts and feelings. The diary also includes information about important events of the time, such as the trial and execution of Mary Queen of Scots. The book also includes a continuation of Melvill's diary by another author, which covers the years 1610 to 1621. This section provides insight into the later years of Melvill's life, including his experiences during the reign of King James VI of Scotland and I of England. Overall, The Autobiography And Diary Of Mr. James Melvill, With A Continuation Of The Diary V1 (1842) is a valuable historical document that provides a firsthand account of life in Scotland during the 16th and 17th centuries.Other ISBNs in this set include: 0548810400.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
