When twelve-year-old Henry's birthday present from his Grandpa is a dusty old book, he doesn't know what to think. But when he brings an old bookmark he found close to the Atlas, it falls open, revealing detailed illustrations that seem almost alive-a majestic castle perched on cliffs, sun-drenched meadows stretching to the horizon, a bustling city.
Henry soon discovers the book's extraordinary secret: touching any Page transports him into that world. When his friends Angie and Cecil learn about the Atlas and join him on his journey, they find themselves standing before the very castle they had just been staring at on paper.
The three friends quickly learn that the Page holds its own complete world to explore. But there's a catch-returning home requires finding a Gate and solving a puzzle or riddle unique to each location. Some of the Gates will only open if all three of them work together.
As they plan to visit more Pages, Henry begins to suspect his grandfather gave this book to him for a reason. The Atlas is more than a collection of magical doorways-it's a test, a legacy, and perhaps the beginning of something much bigger than three kids looking for adventure.
