The Astronomical Ephemeris for 1855 is a historical record of astronomical data, essential for navigators, astronomers, and historians of science. Compiled under the direction of Nevil Maskelyne and the British Commissioners of Longitude, and published by the Admiralty's Nautical Almanac Office, this volume provides precise tables detailing the positions of celestial bodies. It was a vital resource for maritime navigation and scientific research in the mid-19th century. This meticulously prepared ephemeris offers a glimpse into the scientific practices of the era and remains a valuable reference for understanding the history of astronomy and navigation.
