The Assyrian Deluge Legend by Gerald Massey is a comprehensive study of the ancient Babylonian and Assyrian myth of the Great Flood. The book explores the origins of the legend, its development over time, and its significance in ancient Mesopotamian culture. Massey examines the similarities between the Assyrian Deluge Legend and other flood myths from around the world, including the Biblical account of Noah's Ark. He also delves into the symbolism and allegory present in the myth, arguing that it has deeper spiritual and philosophical meanings beyond its literal interpretation. The book includes translations of the original cuneiform texts and extensive analysis of the language and imagery used in the myth. Overall, The Assyrian Deluge Legend is an essential resource for anyone interested in the history of ancient Mesopotamia, mythology, and the development of human culture.THIS 102 PAGE ARTICLE WAS EXTRACTED FROM THE BOOK: Natural Genesis Part 2 or the Second Part of a Book of the Beginnings, by Gerald Massey.
