As You Like It is a romantic comedy play written by William Shakespeare. The story revolves around Rosalind, the daughter of Duke Senior, who is banished from her home by her uncle Duke Frederick. Rosalind disguises herself as a man named Ganymede and travels to the Forest of Arden with her cousin Celia. There, she meets Orlando, the younger son of Sir Rowland de Boys, and they fall in love. However, Orlando does not recognize Rosalind in her male disguise. The play explores themes of love, gender roles, and the nature of identity. It also includes several memorable characters, such as Touchstone, a court jester, and Jaques, a melancholy lord. As You Like It is known for its witty dialogue, clever wordplay, and engaging plot. It has been performed and adapted countless times since its first performance in 1599, and remains a beloved work of literature today.Hang There My Verse, In Witnesse Of My Loue, And Thou Thrice Crowned Queene Of Night Suruey With Thy Chaste Eye, From Thy Pale Spheare Aboue Thy Huntresse Name, That My Full Life Doth Sway. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
