Shakespeare without footnotes? Easy: don't you just turn it all into prose? NO!No! The ALL CLEAR! SHAKESPEARE project is dedicated not only to meeting the challenge of clairity, but also to avoiding the loss of pleasure in the hearing of those poetic rhythms. So it's all there - from pentameter to couplets!- but made more maneuverable and accessable for the reader (and play-goer). Equally as important - the momentum factor never flags! And that's just what AS YOU LIKE IT requires, with the many characters dashing all about the Forest of Arden. Ah, you say, Now I know what play you're talking about -- the one with Rosalind and Orlando as the lovers, and poor sad Jaques, and the 'All the world's a stage' speech! Yes, that's the one. And NO FOOTNOTES!
