Artists Families, Menages DArtistes: A Comedy In Three Acts is a play written by Eugene Brieux and first published in 1918. The play revolves around the lives of two artist couples, the Marchals and the Leclercs, who are both struggling to make ends meet. The Marchals have a daughter, Germaine, who is engaged to a wealthy art dealer, but she is torn between her love for him and her loyalty to her struggling family. Meanwhile, the Leclercs are dealing with their own financial struggles and are forced to take in a wealthy patron, who becomes entangled in their personal lives. The play explores themes of love, loyalty, and the sacrifices that artists and their families must make in order to pursue their passions. With its witty dialogue and satirical commentary on the art world, Artists Families, Menages DArtistes is a timeless classic that continues to resonate with audiences today. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
