Valery was greatly influenced by the city of Leningrad (St. Petersburg), where he lived at that time. This elegance and the most western city of Russia created the spiritual attitude and polished character of Valeria. But mostly, Valery worldview was formed under the inspiration of his first love and wife Elena, his muse, who helped and supported him for many years.
