Art Young: His Life and Times is a biography of the American political cartoonist Art Young, written by Young himself. The book explores the life and career of the artist, who was known for his satirical cartoons that often criticized political figures and social issues. The book covers Young's upbringing in rural Wisconsin, his early career as a cartoonist in Chicago, and his later years as a prominent figure in the New York art scene. Along the way, readers learn about Young's involvement in socialist politics, his friendships with other artists and writers, and his personal struggles with alcoholism and depression. The book is illustrated with examples of Young's artwork, providing a visual record of his career and the issues he tackled.
