Aristotle on the Art of Poetry is a classic work of literary criticism written by the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle. In this book, Aristotle outlines his theories on the nature of poetry, its forms, and its purpose. He discusses the elements of poetry, such as plot, character, and language, and provides examples from Greek tragedies to illustrate his points. Aristotle also explores the relationship between poetry and other forms of art, such as music and painting. The book is considered a foundational work in the field of literary criticism and has had a significant influence on subsequent literary theory and practice.1913.
