It is, on the one hand, a spiritual narrative, which details the poet's religious deconstruction and subsequent vision of cosmic unity in the heartbeat of his firstborn child; on the other hand, the text itself re-enacts the nature of the poet's vision so that the reader experiences the heartbeat of the poet as merged with that of the cosmos in an endlessly creative present-moment.
