This book addresses a range of contemporary critical issues in Arabic literature, focusing on the complex relationship between the Arab critical heritage and modern Western critical methodologies, as well as the resulting intellectual and methodological challenges. It begins by examining the crisis facing modern Arabic criticism, analyzing the causes of this crisis from both scholarly and technical perspectives. It highlights the urgent need to establish an Arab-Islamic critical approach rooted in the nation's unique cultural and civilizational identity, while maintaining an informed openness to Western methodologies-without succumbing to them uncritically or indiscriminately.
