An Appeal To The Society Of Friends: In Behalf Of The Bible Association Of Friends In America is a book written by William Brown and published in 1832. The book is a call to action to the Society of Friends (Quakers) in America to support the Bible Association of Friends, an organization dedicated to distributing Bibles to those in need. Brown argues that the Bible is essential to the Quaker faith and that it is the responsibility of Quakers to ensure that everyone has access to it. He also addresses concerns that some Quakers may have about the distribution of Bibles, such as the fear of promoting sectarianism or the belief that the Bible should not be read without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Brown makes a compelling case for the importance of the Bible and the need for Quakers to support the Bible Association of Friends. The book is a valuable historical document that sheds light on the role of the Bible in the Quaker faith and the efforts of Quakers to spread its message. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
