An Appeal To The British Nation On The Humanity And Policy Of Forming A National Institution For The Preservation Of Lives And Property From Shipwreck is a book written by William Hillary in 1825. The book is a call to the British nation to establish a national institution to save lives and protect property during shipwrecks. Hillary argues that the current system of relying on private individuals and organizations to provide rescue services is inadequate and inefficient. He proposes the creation of a national institution that would be funded by the government and staffed by trained professionals. The book provides a detailed analysis of the dangers of shipwreck and the need for a coordinated rescue effort. It also includes accounts of real-life shipwrecks and the heroic efforts of individuals who risked their lives to save others. Overall, An Appeal To The British Nation On The Humanity And Policy Of Forming A National Institution For The Preservation Of Lives And Property From Shipwreck is a persuasive argument for the establishment of a national institution to save lives and protect property during shipwrecks. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
