I am simply a little girl from the hills of Appalachia who discovered that God's grace is stronger than trauma, His mercy is greater than failure, and His plans are always bigger than our pain.
The phoenix is often used as a symbol of rising from ashes.
My story is different.
I did not rise because I was strong enough.
I rose because every time life knocked me into the ashes, God reached down, lifted me up, breathed hope back into my weary soul, and reminded me that He wasn't finished writing my story.
This book is not about surviving abuse.
It is not about earning degrees.
It is not about professional success.
It is about redemption.
It is about a faithful God who specializes in restoring broken hearts, rebuilding shattered dreams, and transforming unimaginable pain into a life filled with purpose.
My prayer is that somewhere within these pages you will recognize pieces of your own story.
And when you do, I hope you will remember this one truth above all else:
No matter how devastating your past has been...
No matter how impossible your future may seem...
The God who brought an Appalachian girl through the fire is able to bring you through yours as well.
