These texts came astonishingly close to making the Bible. Some were read aloud in church for generations after they were written. One was bound directly alongside Scripture in Codex Sinaiticus, one of the oldest Bibles in existence. All six were eventually left out - not because their theology was rejected, but for a narrower, more specific reason this guide walks through in full.
Most editions leave you with two bad options: a raw translation of the primary texts with no context, or a dense academic commentary that assumes you already have a seminary background. The Apostolic Fathers Field Guide is built to be neither.
