Ted is a turtle without a shell. He doesn't want one. In fact, these days in turtle world, about half the turtles walk around without shells. Turtle world is pretty evenly divided between the Shells and Anti-Shells. Antishells build domes over their homes. Shells walk around with heavy shells on their backs. Before Ted can stop things from falling apart any further, he inexplicably and repeatedly morphs from a middle-aged turtle to a hatchling, and back again.
