Remy Lucas' life is pretty upsetting, really. A short international trip to visit his biological father was extended by ten years due to Australia declaring war on its magical citizens, the dainisa. The kid he was babysitting sold his soul to the devil. The Arch-Angel Gabriel offered him a job to help end the war and fund his transition then decided Remy was actually being paid in 'redemption', not money. The man he fell in love with happened to be one of Gabriel's angelic subordinates, and also his name is Crow Hotfire of all nonsense. Just upset upon upset.
But if there's one thing Remy's good at, it's surviving.
When forced to end his relationship with Crow, Remy starts looking at the difference between surviving and thriving. There's so much danger and drama involved in the feuds between angels, demons and dainisa, and Remy can walk away from everything. Nobody would blame him.
And yet, Remy can't stop thinking about that kid who sold his soul to the devil...
