Burying Babies. Escape Strategies. Luring Romance. Marge doesn't want to be a nun, and God knows she has plenty of reasons never to become one. Too bad fate has other ideas for her future. Escaping convent life, darkly kept secrets and the hidden deeds of the not so holy, holier-than-thou sisters, is her number one priority. Well, that and marrying Bob, the man of her dreams. True Romance magazines feed her romantic daydreams of an idyllic life. In love, married, safe and secure. Freedom from archaic rules strictly imposed under the guise of religion and punishments meted out with a heavy hand. Poor Marge is always on the receiving end of the nun's idea of just penance. Head strong and constantly at odds with the nuns, Marge bends, but refuses to break. Disturbing acts abound behind the convent walls, and Marge is caught in the middle, forced to take part. Her best friend Dorothy, innocent and unaware, has no idea of the drama she faces from day to day. But, no matter how much trouble Marge gets into, Dorothy stands by her side. Even when Marge is caught in a compromising situation with another woman's man; Bob, Dorothy's aunt's boyfriend. Marge has chosen her means of escape, and the man... Can she convince him to marry her? Can she convince those who wield power over her life to give her, her freedom? Will blackmail persuade them to let her go? Another Reason I Don't Want to Be a Nun is the first book in a series. If you like dark drama, romance and humor then you will like D R Beland's look at a young girl's strategies to get what she thinks she wants.
