The sequel to Guarding Angel
As a child, Angel cast out a demon from her abusive mother. Now, she and Pastor Moore are called to Iowa to evaluate a twelve-year-old boy whose parents fear he's possessed. On the trip there, they meet a variety of people, including a strange Native American woman who warns her that she is in danger and things aren't always as they seem. But when they interview the family, Angel is suspicious the boy is being abused. She gives him her cell phone number and tells him to call her if he's in danger. During the night, he does. She hears shouting in the background that supports an abusive situation. Angel races through the night to try to save the boy. She quickly learns things aren't always as they seem.
