The third Angel production for children, ANGELIC LIGHT IN DARKNESS opens with seven Guardian Angels that are discussing their concerns about their hosts. Suddenly the Archangel Uriel appears. He is known as the Angel of wisdom and prophecy. He suggests that they enlist the Cherubim, Chester and Jasper, to help solve the problems dealing with PTSD.
In the scenes that follow we encounter a wife whose husband has returned home from a military conflict, silent and despondent. Trying to fall asleep, Archangel Uriel has summoned the Choir of Angels to lull him to sleep with a beautiful Psalm, PRAYER FOR DIVINE HELP. After waking up he tells his wife he has had a life-changing dream. His and her Guardian Angels were responsible and assured him that they would never be alone.
Next we will visit a family with the mother being deployed for a year and upon her return she realizes that her husband, after quitting his job, took care of the children. After falling asleep she is visited by the choir of angels with a message. As a family they must trust in the Lord and the path in which they have been given.
Finally, Chester and Jasper, along with the disguised Guardian Angels, pose as Administration from the children's school to reach out to the family. The children are acting out at school and the principal wants to present to them an award letter of encouragement. To emphasize that they are not alone, Chester and Jasper chant a kind of Poetry- Gram for the children.
The last scene is the Reprise of the Psalm #5 with the entire cast on stage sending out love and hope.
Music genres such as operatic, sacred and contemporary are used to augment the presence of Angels. They are God's messengers to help those who need comfort and support.
