What remains of anarchy if the perfect society never arrives?
Anarchy Here and Now presents anarchy not as a distant utopia or a final state of history, but as a direction: the ongoing practice of reducing domination and expanding the real possibilities of life.
Moving through presence, freedom, love, anger, care, beauty, time, and joy, Francesco Scatigno asks how anarchist principles can shape everyday choices without becoming another form of moral perfectionism. How can we say no without becoming indifferent? Depend on others without possessing them? Protect without dominating? Care without governing? Act with determination without trying to control every outcome?
The experiences of Emma Goldman, Rosa Parks, Sibilla Aleramo, Audre Lorde, Nise da Silveira, Masanobu Fukuoka, Wangari Maathai, and other historical figures meet the ordinary conflicts of relationships, work, community, and personal transformation.
This is not a blueprint for the perfect individual or a complete model of a future society. It is a philosophical and political exploration of freedom as a daily practice: imperfect, relational, embodied, and always open to correction.
Anarchy does not begin after the revolution. It begins wherever domination is recognized, interrupted, and replaced by one more possibility for life.
