Amoretti and Epithalamion is a collection of sonnets and a longer poem by Edmund Spenser, a prominent English poet of the Renaissance era. The Amoretti section consists of 89 sonnets that chronicle the poet's courtship of his beloved, Elizabeth Boyle. The sonnets follow the traditional Petrarchan form, with an octave and a sestet, and explore themes of love, beauty, and the passage of time. The Epithalamion, on the other hand, is a longer poem that celebrates Spenser's marriage to Boyle. It is composed of 24 stanzas and follows the structure of a traditional wedding song, with descriptions of the bride, the groom, and the ceremony itself. Both sections of the book are considered some of the finest examples of Elizabethan poetry and showcase Spenser's skill as a wordsmith and his mastery of poetic form.My Hungry Eyes Through Greedy Couetize, Still To Behold The Obiect Of Their Paine: With No Contentment Can Themselues Suffize, But Hauing Pine And Hauing Not Complaine. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
