Among The Sioux Of Dakota: Eighteen Months Experience As An Indian Agent is a memoir written by D.C. Poole about his time as an Indian agent among the Sioux tribe in Dakota during the late 1800s. The book provides a firsthand account of his experiences living among the Sioux people, including their daily lives, customs, and traditions. Poole also describes the challenges he faced as an Indian agent, including negotiating with the government on behalf of the Sioux people and dealing with conflicts between the tribe and white settlers. The book offers a unique perspective on the history of the Sioux tribe and their interactions with the United States government during a pivotal time in American history. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
