When I started studying the Awakenings, I had little idea of them or how they were instrumental in the development of our country. When our country was founded, in spite of the many beliefs otherwise, Christians were in a definite minority. This book explores the change towards church growth in the successive awakenings, until in the 1800's, more than half the country was churched. We have not been this far away from God as a nation in a very long time. How are we as Christians going to turn it around. This book explores the awakenings and tries to draw from them ways which we might ask of God for yet a final awakening. The author also draws from his unique experience in the Fourth Great Awakening and depicts some of the wonders of God that happened in his personal life.
