Hello my name is Thomas and this is my second book focussing on my ongoing battle with depression following on from Sunshine and Darkness.
I still have my bad days and I still have my good days, the main thing that changed for me was recognising that the bad days do indeed pass, granted that some may last longer than others and sometimes I cannot find my way out of the maze that is depression.
I write about my experiences in the maze in poetic form and I will try and add a footnote about what I was feeling or thinking about at the time to give you a deeper understanding of my experience.
I am still new to talking about my experiences and at times my writing may appear raw and deep but I don't edit my pieces so what you're reading is exactly what I first wrote.
My ultimate goal with this book and its predecessor is to simply show you that you are not alone and even though I may not know exactly what you're going through, hopefully I can shine a little light for you to follow and find your way out of your own maze. I also want to break the stigma/taboo of talking about depression, no one should ever feel bad for expressing how they feel.
