WHAT WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO DO TO GET THE JOB OF YOUR LIFE?
At 32 years old, Alicia has an administrative degree, a humble apartment half-paid off in Boston, and a terrifying fear of ending up as the headline for evictions on the nightly news. After being unfairly fired because of the usual corporate nepotism, her life is reduced to collecting psychometric tests, accumulating recycled furniture, and surviving weekends in Salem with her father's indecipherable agricultural experiments.
But everything changes when Boston textiles Samithier selects her for a hiring process. There are fifteen candidates and only one position. The competition is fierce, but Alicia counts on a secret weapon: the wild ideas of Peter, her inseparable self-employed friend.
Desperate to secure her future, Alicia will find herself caught up in a series of situations as surreal as they are hilarious, where the line between right and wrong begins to blur in the most unexpected way.
Alice in Workland is a hilarious black comedy packed with office secrets, unexpected conspiracies, surprising twists and turns, and a lot of dog love. A wonderful satire of slice-of-life humor that proves that, sometimes, to keep your conscience clean, first you have to get your hands a little dirty. Alice in Workland (c) 2026 Eva MarÃa Luna Gil.
