Tërë çifutët e fshehur, me përjashtim të Oto Frankut, babait të Anës, që mbeti gjallë, e mbaruan jetën nëpër kampet e përqendrimit, ku u mbyllën nga nazistët. Dy nëpunëse holandeze, që e kishin ndihmuar familjen Frank gjetën në strehimin ku qenë fshehur ata, pas bastisjes së gestapos, ditarin e Anës, që në vitin 1947 do të botohej dhe do të zgjonte admirim te lexuesit.
