Very early on in his career, Aklilu Lemma discovered a natural cure for a disease known as schistosomiasis, which won him an award called the Right Livelihood Award, also known as the Alternative Nobel Prize. That was a MASSIVE achievement, especially for someone from Ethiopia! This well-illustrated children's book narrates the true story of this scientist in a way that teaches and inspires children.
