As the friends follow the clues, they meet Barry, a dramatic African Grey Parrot who copies every sound he hears, and Boris, a big baby Rottweiler with enormous paws and very nervous feelings. Soon Thomas and Leila discover that the truth is much gentler than anyone expected.
The Mystery at the Midnight Pet Store is a warm and funny children's mystery adventure about friendship, kindness, fairness, and learning not to judge others by appearances.
