This courageous story reveals why victims may remain with their abusers, the dangers they can face after leaving, and the emotional wounds that may take years to heal. It also offers warning signs, safety guidance, spiritual encouragement, and hope for victims, as well as the friends and family members who long to help them. Cara's story is not merely about surviving abuse. It is about faith, healing, restoration, and finding the courage to walk away from a nightmare in search of the rainbow beyond it. She was once a victim.
