Years ago I wrote this short poem, between the serious and the facetious: You need to avoid all the mawkishness, thoseSweetish affectations that so often fillLove poems - You told yourselfAnd that's why you didn't write any(from 'Fragments of Memory', 'Fragment CXXX')Of course it is an ironic remark, as I wanted to induce a smile in the reader.
