For those who enjoy experimental poetry that is energetic in tone with a political comment, then An Abstract Waltz by jacob erin-cilberto is the book for you. An Abstract Waltz travels with the reader through a versatile selection of poetry from The Monarch Turns Blue where erin-cilberto nostalgically reflects on his youth, if only we could go back, /but the 60s have been crushed/like caterpillars crossing the road in an autumn morn. In A Challenged Artist the reader sees a political slant, fall - oh yes, a middle class leaf tumbling to the ground/to be burned in the pile and forgotten. Erin-cilberto is a poet who is not shy about taking a chance in the variety of his writings which makes An Abstract Waltz authentic. As a lover of poetry, notably a versatile selection of poems, this a volume of work to keep on the bookshelf. An Abstract Waltz is a 120 page paperback book containing 85 poems previously published in small magazines and journals. It is a best of containing poems of various topics and styles. The book also contains the Pushcart Nominated poems Bucket Seats and the Road Behind Us and Exploiting the Children nominated in 2007 and 2008 packaged inside laminated color covers
