An indispensable resource for those working to build interfaith bridges between Jewish, Christian, and Muslim communities. Although modern Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are distinct religions with their own tenets and beliefs, these three ancient faiths share deep roots. Those unversed in the holy scriptures of Islam might be surprised to learn that many of the well-known religious figures told of in the Torah and the Bible are also found in the pages of the Quran. This introductory book gives readers a unique opportunity to begin exploring the histories of these three great faiths by reflecting upon the lives of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mary as told through the Quranic verses. Some of these stories include:
  • Abraham and his conversation with the townspeople after the idols in the temple had been broken.
  • Moses's conversation with God on Mount Sinai.
  • Jesus's miracles as told in the Quran.
  • The conversation between the Virgin Mary and Angel Gabriel.
