Born and raised in Newark, NJ during the time when crime, drugs, and stolen cars were at an all time high Fuquan was able to battle against the temptations of the street life and stay focused on his education and determination to make something out of himself opposed to becoming a product of his environment. At the age of 13 he moved with his family to south Florida where life was a little bit easier but a definite culture shock to say the least. He later went on to play college football on an athletic scholarship while majoring in economics. As in the majority of society Fuquan has faced ups and downs, has seen and been apart of a lot of difficult situations. His poetry has always been a place of peace. This book is a poetic expression of motivation, inspiration, and affectionate side of Fuquan
