As you turn to pray, and as some of these poems talk about, God will be there with you, quieting the distant flapping of outside distractions and guiding in words he longs to hear from you. A voice said listen to me, my dear child and learn and grow in knowledge... God loves you as His dear child and wants you to listen to him and grow in the knowledge that he is always walking with you. He is your Savior. He is loving and guiding you whether you have a Sad Face or are on your knees. A Walk with God is not a how to get to God book. It is a book of poems written from the heart. And that heart has stayed closely filled with God's love throughout the 40-plus years of poems that God has given the author throughout many, many different phases of his life Perhaps they will speak to you as well and help you have a richer, fuller walk with God. James Walkup has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and family for 45 years. He is an accomplished artist having graduated with Honors from the San Francisco Art Institute. In addition to his BFA, James has received a Certificate in Computer Electronics and during his final job as a Senior Quality Technician, wrote numerous instructions for the other technicians. One of James' dreams has always been to express his faith in God through his art work. Writing poetry is one way he has been able to do this, expressing his love for God throughout the 43 years he has walked with God.
