This is a meticulously transcribed sermon by Martin Benson, delivered in Tunbridge-Wells Chapel. The sermon was preached on the occasion of reading the Prayer of Thanksgiving for a late victory, offering a glimpse into the religious and patriotic sentiments of the time. Benson's words provide insight into the theological interpretations of victory and the role of faith in public life during the 18th century.
