A Royal Adventurer In The Foreign Legion is a memoir written by H. H. Prince Aage of Denmark, who served in the French Foreign Legion during World War I. The book chronicles his experiences as a young prince who chose to leave his privileged life behind to join the Legion, where he served as a private soldier and later as an officer. Prince Aage's account provides a unique perspective on the harsh realities of war and the daily life of a soldier in the Legion. He describes the grueling training, the camaraderie among the men, and the many battles he fought in North Africa and the Middle East. The book also offers insight into the political and social context of the time, as Prince Aage discusses the role of the Legion in French colonialism and the tensions between European powers. Overall, A Royal Adventurer In The Foreign Legion is a fascinating and engaging memoir that offers a rare glimpse into the life of a soldier in one of the world's most legendary fighting forces. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
