A Liberal Education And Where To Find It is a collection of essays by Thomas Henry Huxley, a prominent 19th-century scientist and philosopher. The book was originally published in 1868 and has since become a classic work on the subject of education. In this book, Huxley argues that a liberal education is essential for personal growth, social progress, and intellectual freedom. He defines a liberal education as one that provides a broad and deep understanding of the world, including its history, literature, science, and philosophy. Huxley also discusses the challenges and opportunities of obtaining a liberal education in his time. He criticizes the narrow and specialized education offered by many institutions, and advocates for a more interdisciplinary approach. He also emphasizes the importance of self-directed learning and lifelong education. Overall, A Liberal Education And Where To Find It is a thought-provoking and insightful book that remains relevant today. It offers a compelling vision of education as a means of personal and social transformation, and provides practical advice for anyone seeking to pursue a liberal education.THIS 30 PAGE ARTICLE WAS EXTRACTED FROM THE BOOK: Selections of Huxley, by Thomas Henry Huxley.
