In A Day At The Gate, Ed Nowak invites his readers to take a look at a horse show through the eyes of a paddock master. He reveals to his readers what it is really like to stand at the in-gate of a horse show for 12 hours in the blazing sun or freezing cold with a clipboard and a radio, and he does it with this own unique sense of humor and wit. Complete with nearly 50 cartoons and illustrations, he exposes not only the horse show participants, but everyone that might be on the grounds. Trainers, judges, parents, spectators, show managers, course designers and jump crew, do not escape unscathed. If you have ever shown a horse, trained one, paid for one, or have ever been to a horse show, you will probably recognize yourself in, A Day At The Gate.
