The children in this story are taught family traditions and make memories of a lifetime while they are entertained by Christmas Eve events many years ago. Grandmother shares memories and traditions by telling stories of her past. They re-created old activities as they learned what happen on Christmas Eve when Grandmother was a child. She thought it was important to tell her grandchildren how life was different, but full of love and fun. Grandmother shares a message in this story to help young people build bonds with family members and carry fun traditions and memories of Christmas to the next generation. Young people can carry this message to their adult lives and pass it on to their children the true meaning of Christmas.
