A Challenged Life is the chronicling of the epic challenges confronted and courage demonstrated by the author. Perhaps due to being raised in a broken home, the author long exhibited tremendous sense of independence and unbridled ambition to achieve lofty goals. With a successful husband and lovely children in place, the author appeared to have all she desired within her grasp. However, the world as she knew it changed forever when a horrific, unforeseen physical calamity befell her. Without warning, the author suffered a massive aneurysm in her brain, nearly ending her life. Through the skillful and heroic efforts of the neurosurgeons who performed emergency surgery, the author's life was spared. Unfortunately, the aftermath of the insidious affliction left Ms. Candeloro paralyzed on the left side of her body.. Still young and with a zeal for life, the author refused to succomb to depression and the physical challenges resulting from her condition. As the work unfolds, the indomitable nature of the author's spirit is revealed along with the love and unwavering support provided by her loved ones. Composed primarily in a conversational narrative, the text flows at a brisk tempo that should maintain the reader's interest throughout. The author's ability to convey the enormous physical and emotional challenges she endured and ultimately conquered should serve to forge a solid bond with the reader. For those who face overwhelming obstacles in their lives, the offering could be viewed as highly inspiring. Overall, the work is well organized in presentation and often compelling in content while appearing to be an accurate reflection of the author's life experiences. The authors ability to share the most difficult aspects of her life in a candid and inspiring fashion could serve to further enhance the appeal of this work.
