Nine Madrigals To Five Voices: From Musica Transalpina, 1588 (1894) is a collection of musical compositions by Italian composer Alfonso Ferrabosco. The collection features nine madrigals, which are musical pieces that originated in Italy during the Renaissance period and typically feature several voices singing in harmony. The madrigals in this collection are written for five voices, and were originally published in Musica Transalpina in 1588. This was a groundbreaking publication at the time, as it was the first collection of Italian madrigals to be published in England. Ferrabosco's madrigals showcase his skill as a composer, with intricate harmonies and beautiful melodies. The pieces are sung in Italian, and cover a range of themes including love, nature, and mythology. This edition of Nine Madrigals To Five Voices was published in 1894, and includes sheet music for each of the nine madrigals. It is a valuable resource for musicians and music lovers interested in Renaissance-era music and the history of Italian madrigals. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
