One church never let the curtain fall. Ethiopia preserved two ancient texts that claim to record those forty days-the Testamentum Domini-copied by hand and guarded for sixteen centuries.
This second edition sets the recovered Testament beside every major witness, heard across five languages: the Geʿez of EMML 2358, the Syriac, a newly identified Greek fragment, the Coptic-Arabic line, and the companion gospels. Scene by scene, the witnesses answer one another-then the discourse is sounded once more, unbroken, in the cadence of the King James Bible.
A transmission map and a family tree of the witnesses trace how the Word travelled from tongue to tongue across the centuries.

PlÃnio Bezerra dos Santos Filho, Ph.D. holds a doctorate in Physics from Washington University in Saint Louis and completed post-doctoral research at Harvard University. Named Outstanding Teacher of the Year at North Carolina State University, he founded the Conservation and Restoration Laboratory of Olinda (UNESCO World Heritage Site, 2008) and directed funds in UNESCO conservation projects as founder of AERPA.
