The Four Realms is a solo card game played entirely with a standard deck of cards and this book. Choose your realm: Hearts, Diamonds, Spades, or Clubs. Then survive nineteen turns of trials, choosing between playing a card from your hand or spending a hard-won resource, and living with whatever the numbered outcome hands you.
Every card you draw is a decision, and every decision costs something. Fifty-two trials and 264 outcomes mean no two reigns play the same way. A little over two in three end in victory. The rest end in ruin.
